The Perfect Cup: How to Brew and Store

March 27, 2018 / by John Langenstein

Brewing and Storing Your Kona Coffee

Always use fresh roasted coffee beans and grind just before brewing for maximum flavor.

Use only fresh, cold, filtered water in a clean brewer or french press ( preferred ).

A good rule of measure for preparing a cup of coffee is one heaping tablespoon of ground coffee for every 6oz cup. Adjust to suit your personal preference.

Store your Kona Coffee in the bag or an airtight container away from heat.

Do not store in refrigerator as coffee is absorbent and will absorb other odors.

Do not store in freezer unless planning to leave for an extended period of time. However, freezing coffee never fully extracts all the flavor, after thawing.

For best results only purchase enough to last for two-three weeks. Without opening a bag, it should last up to 2 months if stored in a cool, dark place. Sign up for our automatic shipping plan in the annual order section.
